essential functions:Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair of TICO and competitor spotter trucks -Perform a wide variety of repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of trucksDiagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all componentsPositively interface with Service Writers, leadership team, the parts department, drivers, vendors, and customersKeep paper work updated and submitted upon completionCommunicate effectively with customersMaintain a high level of cleanlinessMeet and maintain labor efficiency goalsMeet requirements for certificationsComplete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures. - -Maintain inventory of mechanical tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and qualified that are not - typically inventoried by the service department as "Special Services Tools."Assist the dealership in its efforts to achieve high-level customer satisfaction through proper repair procedures, attitudes, and communication.Ensure customer's vehicle is returned as clean as it was prior to being serviced or repaired. -Actively participate in the Manufacture's Technician Certification Program and continue to earn and maintain Master Technician status.Provide complete and accurate written explanation on the repair order to describe the work that was performed.Punch on and off every repair order to reflect the amount of time spent on the job.Comply with the dealership's policy for establishing flat rate time for all repair work and maintenance services.Complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by managementCommunicate with other dealerships personnel as required to satisfy customer's needs.Report any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers.COMPANY-WIDE EXPECTATIONS:Remain drug and alcohol free while on Company premises and within the scope of dutyUnderstand and comply with all Sanco Enterprises policies and proceduresObserve safety and security policies and procedures and use equipment and materials accordinglyDuties may be added, deleted, or modified at any time, at the discretion of management, via written, verbal, formal, or informal meansCORE COMPETENCIES:Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, and maintains necessary communicationInterpersonal Skills - maintains open communication with fellow employees, supervision, and management, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new thingsPlanning/Organizing - prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficientlyQuality Control - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure qualityAdaptability - adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsDependability - consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performanceProfessionalism - maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all timesknowledge, education and/or experience:Requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)Diesel engine experienceTruck repair experienceTechnical degree or certification is a plusskills:Written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office skillsabilities:Work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairsUse computers for web-based training and work order systemWork independently in a field service environment while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customerExhibit a strong mechanical aptitudePossess a clean driving recordPass a DOT approved physicalworking conditions:Exposure to varying weather-related temperatures (both inside and outside)Frequently works on scaffoldingModerate exposure to confined spaces, moving objects, and mechanical partsModerate exposure to chemicals and fumesModerate noise levelPowered by JazzHR
