Koch Fertilizer Fort Dodge, LLC is now hiring an Environmental Engineer / Specialist to join our team in Fort Dodge, Iowa. This individual will provide quality service to facility customers and ensure that all facility environmental activities, systems, and plans effectively drive performance to meet or exceed business and company objectives and requirements.

  What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Provides support and training to front line employees
  • Oversee the preparation of environmental reports for regulatory agencies
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with regulatory agencies and the community
  • Support operating sites by understanding and maintaining compliance with Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other regulations relevant to Koch companies
  • Provides environmental risk management and compliance strategies for facility changes, projects, and maintenance outages
  • Supports emergency response compliance, including participating in response drills and having on-call availability
  • Manages the environmental aspects of incident reporting and compliance tracking systems
  • Analyzes facility EHS trends and checks and adjusts methods, systems, and strategies accordingly
  • Monitors compliance to environmental standards and best practices. Supports audit and self-assessment processes
  • Work at heights up to 50 feet, climb stairs/ladders and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas The Experience You Will Bring

    • Environmental compliance or engineering experience What Will Put You Ahead
      • Experience in the chemical or oil & gas industry
      • Working knowledge of Iowa Department Natural Resources/EPA regulations
