This is a hands-on position that is heavily engaged in day-to-day production activities manufacturing billions of metal cans and ends on an annual basis. Job Requirements Mechanics set up, operate, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs of high speed production equipment. If you are a team player with the following skills and background, we can train you: A minimum of a high school diploma, a vocational/technical degree, or at least 2 years of verifiable mechanic/industrial experience. Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills to learn, operate and repair high speed production equipment. The ability to comprehend blueprints and use measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, depth micrometer, etc.) with high attention to details, conducting quality checks and reacting appropriately to the data gathered. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage time with shifting priorities, but always maintaining the focus on safety and workplace hazards. Flexible to work different shifts, weekends and overtime. The physical capabilities of walking, standing, lifting, flexing, bending, and climbing while you are working in an environment that contains heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
