Product Customization Engineer, North America Order Management

Based in our Marshalltown, IA location, you will be part of a
fast-paced, World Area focused team responsible for providing
custom solutions to customers' unique applications used in general,
critical, and severe service customer applications. The design
engineering work is fast-paced and high-volume specializing in both
rotary and sliding stem products.AS A PRODUCT CUSTOMIZATION
ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Mentor a team of engineers and co-ops located within the United
States and Mexico to make decisions and execute them confidently
while leveraging resources.
- Promote a creative and innovative environment developing
unique, differentiated solutions to complex problems.
- Work with cross-functional teams including sales, order
engineering, and drafting.
- Design and review modifications to products for all business
units; following established engineering requirements and
- Support quotation and design of modifications to the assigned
products for the fulfillment of customer orders.
- Assist Sales Engineers with selection of appropriate products
for different applications.
- Work closely with Strategic Product Business Units engineering
teams.WHO YOU ARE:You partner with others to get work done. You
build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You
evaluate pros and cons, risks and benefits of different solution
options. You push yourself and help others achieve results. You
display a can-do attitude in good and bad times.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering /
development or engineering projects.
- Knowledgeable in valve applications, design fundamentals, CAD,
simulation, and manufacturing.
- Understanding of engineering principles and demonstrated
experience in their application.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and
- Capable of working on multiple product lines accurately and
efficiently, both rotary and sliding stem.
- Ability to promote a fast paced, positive, customer focused
- Demonstrate a capability of working within a matrixed
organization on a global level.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
