  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations
  • Learn the products supported by Operations for the Commercial Capital businesses and gain a deep understanding of the processes they execute to identify potential control gaps and ensure that controls are in place to mitigate both current and emerging risks
  • Work with the Operations team as they identify operational errors to ensure those events are escalated and remediated appropriately, root cause is determined, and the appropriate controls are created and/or updated
  • Participate in the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, consulting with the Operations leadership and teams to help identify, document and update controls relevant to their processes
  • Collaborate with the Operations leadership and teams to identify control improvement opportunities and participate in process change initiatives to ensure that the proper controls are either created or enhanced as part of those updated processesRequired Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:
      • Experience with RCSA, risk/control identification and assessment
      • Experience with determination of business risk-rating, profile and trends
      • Strong knowledge of commercial businesses, operations, and operations technology
      • Knowledge of markets, commercial lending and leasing products, clients and related operations
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in articulation of risk both verbally and in writing to various levels of staff and management including senior leadership
      • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to strict deadlines in a challenging environment
      • Experience with enterprise risk frameworks and related processes
      • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
      • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
      • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
      • Knowledge and understanding of reporting and issue management
      • Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues
      • Experience successfully escalating complex issues and tracking follow-through to completion
      • Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate with multiple levels in the organization
      • Ability to leverage and direct more junior team members to assist with projects and tasks
