NPosition Type Management JOB SUMMARYThe Manager, Revenue Analytics supports the business priorities of Marriotts Consumer Operations organization globally through jointly working with the Global Insights, Strategy, and Analytics department and the Global Revenue Strategy department. The team supports organizations across Marriott including Revenue Management, Senior Leadership, Investor Relations, Brand, Operations, and other teams within Global Insights, Strategy, and Analytics department. The Manager of Revenue Analytics will provide insight on hotel revenue performance trends, forecasts, and the drivers of those trends. This person will also complete ad hoc projects and produce monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis. The team will produce the quarterly State of the Business report, a comprehensive global report on the health of Marriotts hotels.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience Required

  • 2+ years of professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance in analytical positions in the travel industry.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • Experience evaluating business trends and successfully assisting with the implementation of new business strategies that enhance multi-unit business performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate large amounts of data and translate into meaningful analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate data specifications, deadlines and project requirements clearly and concisely to stakeholders.Education and Experience Preferred
    • 4-year degree from an accredited university in a quantitative discipline (e.g finance, operations research, economics, statistics).
    • Experience using SQL to build queries and developing dashboards in Tableau
    • Experience using Python, SAS, Cognos, Power BI
    • Possess expertise in SQL and Python to develop statistical forecast and other models within a large-scale enterprise data warehouse environment.
    • Knowledge of financial analysis, quantitative analysis and statistical tools highly desirable
    • Lodging/hospitality industry experience across multiple brands.

      • Supports analysis of performance and trends for generation of State of the Business reporting to senior level executives.
      • Provides analytical support for ad hoc requests from senior management, brand teams and above-cluster level field representatives.
      • Presents complex pricing, forecasting, revenue/profit optimization, yield management and other business issues to non-technical business representatives, including senior management.
      • Supports brand level forecasting efforts for all brands globally, including the Long-Range Plan (three to five years) and the budget process (one year). Partners with Revenue Management regional team to ensure budgeting tools provide accurate, pertinent and complete information.
      • Analyzes reservations, financial and other large data sources to answer business questions from senior management, brand teams and above-cluster level field representatives.
      • Supports Pricing Season special corporate preparation (tools to evaluate potential accounts, including the Account Management Tool, and Special Corporate Pricing Tool) and ongoing reporting.
      • Presents complex pricing, forecasting, revenue/profit optimization, yield management and other business issues to non-technical business representatives, including senior management.
      • Supports on-going revenue management decisions and initiatives ensuring the right approaches and resources are brought to bear on overall business challenges and opportunities.
      • Analyzes Group Pricing and Inventory Management effectiveness to support improvements to systems and processes.
      • Supports Total Yield functionality in One Yield, including usage and effectiveness analysis, and communication with CI stakeholders.
      • Provides subject matter expertise as part of a larger team of Revenue Management Global Pricing to maximize deliverables to key stakeholders.
      • Supports efforts in ensuring the appropriate tools are in place to successfully support above property revenue management decision making. Builds and enhances existing tools to address the needs of each segment of business.
      • Centralizes existing tools and make them available globally. Share best practices across all continents.
      • Contributes knowledge to fill in the "gaps" not covered by current above property tools or systems.
      • Works closely with Sr Director and Director of Topline Performance Analysis to support actionable recommendations and responses to optimize performance and drive growth and profitability.Demonstrating and Applying Discipline Knowledge
        • Develop and present analytical methods to measuring effectiveness.
        • Keep up-to-date on developments in analytics and analytical tools/platforms to identify methods that would be useful in improving Marriotts understanding of its revenue streams.
