Job Description:
Purpose, Scope, & Dimension of Job:The General Manager is a key
leadership position within the organization, with overall
accountability for the branch operations of a geographic region,
including profitability, satisfaction of our people and partners
and delivering outstanding customer experience throughout the
customer lifecycle. A successful General Manager will effectively
partner with all levels and departments of the Hansons organization
to ensure we deliver against our goals and objectives. The General
Manager must ensure all policies and procedures of the company are
being followed by employees, Sales Executives, and installation
partners while holding the team to the highest standards of
performance and customer service.Essential Duties/Major
Accountabilities:This position is accountable for the overall
success of his or her assigned branches. The essential areas of
accountability include the sales process, the installation process,
customer satisfaction, leadership of branch team members,
productive relationships with Corporate and Branch staff, and
overall branch financial outcomes.
- Accountable for generating sales through the execution and
oversight of the sales process
- Lead or direct the recruiting, hiring, training and management
of a highly effective sales team
- Motivate, engage, coach and train Sales Executives on effective
sales strategies so that they are successful in presenting,
demonstrating and closing sales deals with prospective
customers
- Review sales metrics, concepts, and sales strategies with Sales
Executives to improve performance and provide coaching as
needed
- Manage the assignment of leads and monitor the outcomes of
individual Sales Executives
- Support and/or lead the training of Sales Executives on new
processes, offers, products, or changes to Hansons technology
- Ensure maximum market penetration and lead generation within
the assigned branch
- Accountable for completing installations that result in revenue
generation
- Manage the review, prioritization, scheduling, and assignment
of Service/Measure Technicians to complete measures on new
jobs
- Support and participate in the recruitment new Installation
Partners, ensuring that the quantity of installations at the branch
can be completed
- In conjunction with the Corporate Scheduling team, ensure
installers are utilized to their full capacity
- Develop relationships with Installation Crews to ensure
productive, high-quality work output
- Ensure quality workmanship by monitoring jobs throughout the
installation process
- In conjunction with Corporate Service team, review, prioritize,
schedule, and assign Service Technicians to complete services for
previous Hansons customers
- Accountable for a five-star Customer Experience
- Drive timely and efficient completion of regional branch
processes and tasks to ensure order cycle times are minimized
- Work with the Customer Relations team to resolve customer
relations concerns and ensure a five-star review at the end of the
installation process
- Achieve or Exceed Net Promotor Score (NPS) goals by maintaining
the highest levels of customer service for external customers.
- Accountable for the leadership and management of Internal Team
members
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective
communications, coaching, training and development
- Perform personnel functions such as interviewing, training,
conducting performance reviews, and handling disciplinary
issues
- Communicate company initiatives to team members and support
organizational goals by demonstrating your commitment and holding
others accountable
- Accountable for productive and effective working relationships
with Corporate and Branch team members
- Network with team members at all levels of the company and
throughout the organization
- Accountable for a financially profitable region
- Achieve or exceed financial goals of the branch by ensuring
that sales result in installed revenue
- Maximize revenue and profitability by collecting on past due
jobs and minimizing additional labor and reprocessing
- Provide input on branch outcomes and review monthly branch
performance scorecards with Senior Executive Team
- Manage inventory to ensure installations can be completed
timely; work with Corporate team members on inventory issues that
need escalationMinimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or a related
field
- Minimum of five years of sales management experience
- Minimum of two years of general management experience
- Demonstrated track record of successful lead generation and
sales results
- Experience driving customer experience improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be proactive, focused, and able to keep tasks and team
members on track for productivity
- Ability to coach and motivate a team to produce positive
results
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills; proficient in other MS
Office applications such as PowerPoint and Word
- Organized and detail oriented
- Familiarity with the functionality and workflow associated with
order management and customer service processes, methodologies, and
tools
- Operates with a continuous improvement mindset
- Versed in problem solving
- Comfortable working in a highly visible role and presenting to
all levels of management

Qualifications:
- Experience in the home improvement or similar industry
- Background in operationsPhysical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain sitting in a stationary position for
prolonged periods
- Requires the ability to move about inside the office
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers,
vendors, and the public
- Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such
as a calculator, copy machine and computer
printerHours/Schedule:Full-time, 40 hours per week/52 weeks per
year. Standard office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
and Saturday, 8:00am - 12:00pm, but due to the nature of position,
evening and weekend hours will be required. Some local and
