We provide our employees a -top-rated benefits package, supportive work culture, and -more! -The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources reports to the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and VP of Human Resources. This position is responsible for daily management of Human Resources with emphasis on employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, talent acquisition, employee retention, worker's compensation, and other regulatory HR functions.
Responsibilities

Provides strategic and organizational guidance to leaders on Human Resources issues. Drives transformational change leading to executable human resource initiatives which meet strategic, and operational objectives.Plans, implements, administers, monitors, and evaluates HR functions, programs, and services of the HR department including employment records, discipline and dismissal, equal opportunity/affirmative action, training, and employee relations. Leverages data and innovative systems to build a culture that drives operational efficiency and optimizes the use of timely reporting and data analysis.Develops and maintains compensation systems through job analysis, internal equity reviews, external compensation surveys and monitoring of job classifications, job description content, and pay grades.Manages employee relations issues, including providing supervisor counseling, investigating, and managing personnel complaints, review disciplinary issues, and provide assistance with development and delivery of written documentation. - Oversees talent acquisition, employee engagement processes, and payroll function.Develops, reviews and updates Human Resources policies and procedures and implements best practices while looking to future trends.Oversees and authorizes the review and revision of organization job descriptions.Responds to unemployment claims; represents BMC in unemployment hearings and appeals.Provides supervisory support, training, and evaluation to the Human Resources employees. - Completes headcount, turnover and/or other HR reports. Comprises various management reports that shape decisions around employee retention. Provides oversight to the Employee Performance Evaluation process, including tracking timely completion of the evaluations, reviewing evaluations, and ensuring appropriate follow-up on issues. Oversees the employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with all areas, and on-going review of programs and vendors. - Oversees Human Resources Information System and monitors data entry.Develops and monitors departmental Performance Improvement Indicators and PI efforts.Oversees pre-employment assessments, worker's compensation, FMLA and related functions and ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.Embraces and supports Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.Builds and fosters relationships and creativity across the organization while maintaining professional integrity.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.At least eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, with at least five (5) years of experience in HR leadership. Experience with HRIS computer systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Preferred Qualifications -
Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Health Care Administration, or related field.Director Level Human Resources management experience.SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SPHR (Senior Professional in HR).Hospital operations experience.Labor relations experience.Bi-lingual.Benefits
