Job SummaryF&G is hiring for an Sr. Associate Actuary on the Retail Inforce Management team. This position is responsible for the capital, reinsurance, and pricing analysis to support management planning and decision-making in accordance with established pricing guidelines and profitability targets to achieve F&G's product strategy.This position reports directly to the Actuary, Inforce Management. The position is expected to interact with the pricing, modeling, reinsurance, and finance teams as well as others across disciplines and functions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with pricing, modeling, reinsurance, and company management to analyze pricing for annuity or life new businessResponsible for the analysis and evaluation of product profitability by:Conducting pricing or analysis to support evaluation of reinsurance agreementsAssessing and updating pricing metrics used to evaluate product profitabilityEvaluating potential capital impacts of pricing or product decisionsCreating summary of product profitabilityMake informed decisions based on a thorough understanding of product, profitability, capital utilization, and riskUpdate pricing models and create documentation to ensure appropriate model governance procedures are followedCreate analysis or input updates of Retail products for use in company planning or forecastingSupport the integration of new products, reinsurance treaties, and other updates to pricing metrics and management reportingDevelop and implement enhancements to create repeatable and scalable processesExperience and Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related degree or equivalent experienceASA required; FSA and MAAA Preferred4+ years actuarial experience with progressively more responsibilityAnnuity or Life product background preferred but not required, with preference for Fixed Annuity, Fixed Indexed Annuity, or Registered Indexed Linked Annuity experienceExperience within various actuarial functions with an understanding of pricing, capital, and financial metricsExperience with and knowledge of GGY AXIS or similar actuarial modeling softwareKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to apply actuarial principles to complex situationsStrong problem-solving skills with analytical and reasoning abilitiesUnconditional integrity and commitment to delivering accurate information on scheduleDemonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and to support project decisions to achieve desired outcomesSelf-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and is able to operate efficiently in changing environments, managing the delivery of projects in addition to individual tasks and processesAbility to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences at various levels, either through verbal or written forms of communicationOther RequirementsPerform other functions, duties and projects as assignedRegular and punctual attendanceNo travel is required for this position
