Accura HealthCare of Ames has a great opportunity to welcome a new Administrator to our team! Accura HealthCare of Ames is an 80 bed skilled nursing facility. We received the National Bronze Quality Award in October 2019. We invested monies in creating a brand new skilled addition to our building that was finalized in February 2017. We also offer a large therapy gym for our residents. As we're preparing to soon go into a new year, this is a wonderful opportunity for a personable and confident Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to join us, as we welcome rebirth and renewal of this long term care (LTC) facility! PURPOSE: The primary purpose of a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (Administrator) is to direct the day-to-day functions of a senior living facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care is consistently provided to our residents. As the Administrator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to live out your assigned duties. It is important that the Administrator provides consistent and effective leadership and/or leadership oversite working collaboratively with all department heads to achieve positive results. addresses areas of concern, is focused on process improvement and/or elevated when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Follow all established policies and procedures to include nursing care procedures, safety regulations, Human Resources policies, departmental policies/procedures, etc., to assure that quality resident care and an effective operation can be maintained. * Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality; complies with attendance policy. * Report to work with clean, neat uniform and personal appearance and consistently presents professional image. * Accept assigned duties, instructions, or correction in a cooperative manner, voicing concerns or disagreements in a professional manner through established chain of authority according to established procedures. * Assume accountability for compliance with federal, state and other regulations within scope of control and of which informed. * Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee and other facility business information. QUALIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor's Degree is necessary. A healthcare focused or business management related degree is preferred but not required. * Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator's license. * Minimum of 3 years successful Nursing Home Administrator experience is required. * Proven experience leading and developing others, working collaboratively across business lines to achieve facility-wide successes such as in various metric focused areas such as improving retention, census, quality measures, star rating, etc. * Attend and participate in educational programs to maintain the best and most current techniques available, as directed.
