We care about our employees' well-being and offer benefits that complement work/life balance.\n* *\nWe offer the following benefits to support you and your family:\n\n* *Health/Dental/Vision Insurance/Flexible Spending Accounts*\n* *Voluntary Protection: Group Accident, Critical Illness, and Identity Theft*\n* *Employee Assistance Program for you and your family*\n* *Paid Time Off (PTO) *\n* *Tuition Assistance and Education Reimbursement (applicable positions) supporting career growth and development*\n* *Matching 401(k) and 457(b) Retirement Programs*\n* *Wellness Program*\nDay-to-day overview:\n\n* Performs inhaled medication therapy, arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, helium-oxygen therapy, carbon dioxide-oxygen therapy, nitric oxide-oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, BIPAP therapy, bland aerosol therapy, PEP therapy, high-frequency oscillator therapy, and ventilatory support modalities as ordered by physician.\n* Participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assists or performs intubation, manages artificial airway, and transport of patients requiring ventilatory support.\n* Assembles, manipulates, and troubleshoots Respiratory Care equipment including mechanical ventilators, pulse oximeters, capnometers, aerosol generators, medical gas delivery systems, humidification systems, and mechanical percussors.\n* Interprets diagnostic results for feasibility and reports results, to include blood or other body fluid analysis by blood gas analyzer and co-oximeter, pulmonary function screening, pulmonary mechanics studies, end-tidal C02, and pulse oximetry.\n* Provides patient instruction in the use of Respiratory Care devices and procedures.\n \n#LI-CHI\n#missioncritical\n\nQualifications\n\n* Certificate of completion from an accredited Respiratory Care Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).\n* Credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.\n* State of Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license. \n* Basic Life Support (BLS for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.\n* Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.\n \n#LI-CHI\n#missioncritical\n\nPay Range\n$22.89 - $33.20 /hour
