Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position serving OB and OR patients, requiring an IA or compact RN license and recent hospital L&D experience. Responsibilities - Work in a 24-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms - Care for patients undergoing c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage - Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2 - Administers drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin - Hospital provides scrubs for staff - Requires floating across multiple campuses including OB, L&D, and may float to Mother/Baby or Postpartum units - Epic EMR is used in this facility - Nurses are responsible for care throughout the childbirth and delivery process, as well as supporting surgical and triage functions - References from a supervisory performance evaluation within the past 2 years are required - Holiday coverage will require working two out of three major winter holidays - Travelers are permitted only one day off request during specified holiday blackout periods - Prior employees within the last 12 months may not be eligible - Same day interview and offer process may be utilized for qualified candidates Requirements - Active IA or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent hospital L&D experience including operating room exposure - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS OB, and NRP must be active - Experience with c-section and vaginal delivery care, including triage responsibilities - Must have completed at least one travel assignment in the past 12 months; no first-time travelers will be considered - Experience working with Epic EMR is preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619854.
