Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) role requiring PICU experience, night shifts, and an active IA or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Work in a 12-bed, private-room Pediatric ICU within a hospital setting - Cares for critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens, including pediatric transport patients - May be required to float to the NICU as needed, typically assigned to stable infants requiring oxygen or antibiotics - Uses EPIC EMR system; prior EPIC experience required - Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week - Every other weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled - No on-call requirements - Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team with pediatric critical care physicians - New hires will complete a 16-hour on-boarding orientation - Family-centered care environment with modern amenities and support spaces - Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving) - Requests for time off are limited to one day between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2 - Locals within 50 miles are accepted with an adjusted pay rate - Scrub requirements and dress code to be provided at orientation Requirements - Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Current BLS and PALS (AHA) certifications required - Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience - Critical care experience strongly encouraged - Previous experience with EPIC EMR required - Must be willing to float to NICU Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611384.
