About The Position We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 2-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity begins on Dec 25, 2025, with 12-hour and 24-hour block shifts, including a 48-hour shift scheduled from Dec 25-27. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in suture skills and hold current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and BCLS. Experience with the Epic EMR system is required. Job Details - Location: Iowa - Start Date: Dec 25, 2025 - LOA: 2 days - Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 24-hour block shifts; Dec 25-27, 0600-0600 (48-hour shift) - EMR: Epic Responsibilities and Duties - Perform emergency medical assessments and interventions - Demonstrate advanced suture skills - Respond to acute and trauma cases as required - Document patient care in the Epic EMR system - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Additional Information - Requires active Iowa license - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in emergency medicine - Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Basic Cardiac Life Support Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
