We are seeking a Locum to Perm OB/GYN Physician in Iowa. Locum to Perm OB/GYN Physician Position Type: Specialty: Physician - OB/GYN Location: Des Moines, IA Rate: Open & Negotiable Shift: 7a 7a, 24-hour call; 6.5 shifts per month Start Date: January 1, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Position Details: Patient Population: Obstetric emergency department patients, emergent OB/GYN patients, maternity transport patients, and patients without a primary OB/GYN Setting: Inpatient; MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center 8-bed OBED (Obstetric Emergency Department) Responsibilities: Manage OBED patients, perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections as needed, support Iowa s only maternity transport team Required Procedures: Emergent vaginal deliveries, C-sections EMR System: Epic Support Staff: No APP supervision required; access to medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy Days Per Month: Approximately 6.5 shifts per month On-Call/Weekends: Yes 24-hour on-call; weekends required Submission Requirements: Board Certified (or truly Board Eligible) Required Active Iowa License or Active IMLC Required (LOQ must be uploaded at time of name clear) Malpractice must be included in bill rates Required Join us today!
