Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work in a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit • Care for neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patients • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 • Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran • Work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation when scheduled • 16 hours guaranteed (NBO) • Navy blue scrubs required • Must have 24 months of medical surgical experience in hospital or medical center setting • Neurology and orthopedic care experience required • Trauma care experience highly preferred • EPIC EMR experience required • Must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 months • Drip experience required: Heparin, PCA, 3% Sodium (no titration) • Specialty equipment experience preferred: telemetry, chest tubes, airvo • EKG/strip reading and telemetry experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC) • NIHSS certification preferred (can be obtained during onboarding) • Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with multiple campuses providing specialized care across various medical disciplines.
