Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in a 12-bed, all private-room Pediatric Intensive Care Unit /n• Care for critically-ill or injured infants, children and teens /n• Must be willing to float to NICU when needed - will receive "feeders and growers" patients /n• May also float to ED patient holds as required /n• Work with state-of-the-art equipment accessible from ceiling booms /n• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation /n• Weekend schedule as assigned /n• No on-call responsibilities /n• Minimum 24 months of PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care experience required /n• Required certifications: PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) /n• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required /n• Skills checklist specific to PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care required /n• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred /n• Driver's license required /n/n Facility: /n This pediatric healthcare facility features a modern 12-bed intensive care unit with all private rooms, each equipped with family amenities including pull-out beds, reclining chairs, private bathrooms, and individual entertainment systems.
