Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,235 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 24 months minimum in Med Surg / Med Surg Tele License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support Must-Have: RN will train on med surg post-op surgical care before transitioning to the designated unit. Phone interview is required for viable candidates. Charge experience is highly preferred. Preceptor experience is highly preferred. Experience caring for all patient types is required. EPIC EMR experience is required. Experience with Heparin is required. Skills in telemetry and cardiac background are preferred. Registered nurses will be required to float across all campuses. Candidates must be proficient in caring for a variety of med surg patients. The unit does not specialize in one specific area. Patient ratios are 4-5:1. The bed size is 15. Telemetry tech unit monitoring is remote. Scrubs should be navy blue and solid in color. Quick interviews will be conducted via phone call or text. Candidates must be open and willing to extend past the initial assignment if necessary. No first-time travelers will be accepted; candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months.
