Join a newly opened hematology/oncology outpatient clinic located in Des Moines, IA, delivering specialized care to patients navigating cancer treatment. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding nursing role focused on oncology within a progressive clinical setting. Experience hands-on collaboration with a dedicated team of nurse practitioners and physicians, supporting 12 to 15 patients daily in a state-of-the-art environment. Responsibilities include providing expert nursing care in oncology, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, managing port draws, and conducting chemotherapy education for patients. You will utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system to document and coordinate patient care efficiently while maintaining compliance with clinical protocols. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active RN licensure with a strong background in oncology nursing Proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, and port access Experience educating patients about chemotherapy treatments Comfortable working in an outpatient setting with an average daily patient census of 12-15 Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is strongly preferred Location Overview:Des Moines, Iowas capital city, provides a welcoming environment with affordable living combined with cultural attractions, parks, and recreational activities.
