MRI Tech Location: Des Moines, IA Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $3,465 to $3,665 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to support a hospital in Des Moines, IA. The MRI Technologist will interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while adhering to safety and quality standards. Minimum Requirements: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with MR credential, or ARMRIT certificate accepted. Minimum 24 months (2 years) of recent MRI / Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience. This is required for consideration. Strong experience and proficiency using Siemens MRI equipment and GE MRI equipment. Experience with both vendors is required. Experience using EPIC / EPIC Radiant electronic medical record systems is required. Level I trauma experience is highly preferred. Professional documentation: skills checklist specific to MRI, resume/work history showing 24 months of MRI experience, and a professional reference (charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO) within the past 24 months are required or highly preferred as noted. Driver’s license required (document). BLS certification. Travel experience is preferred. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Shift: Days. Shift days: Monday - Friday. Shift hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; 40 hours per week. Call requirements: One weeknight call and one weekend call (Fri or Sat) every 10th weekend. Patient types: Emergency Department, Inpatient, Outpatient. Equipment: Siemens and GE MRI systems; power injection contrast injections used. Scrubs: Charcoal gray. Travelers may be required to float across all campuses within the hospital system.
