Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 1.5 years of recent L&D hospital experience and previous travel contract experience. Responsibilities - Work in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms - Patient population includes high-risk OB, antepartum, c-sections, and vaginal deliveries - Staffing ratio of 1:1-2 - Handles drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin - Epic EMR is used in this unit - May be required to float to Mother-Baby/Postpartum units - Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving) - Holiday time off requests are limited to one day between late November and early January - Responsible for providing care for high-risk OB patients and managing specialized drips - Must be prepared to float as needed to related areas - First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Requirements - Active Iowa or compact RN license - Minimum 1.5 years of recent L&D experience in a hospital setting - Prior travel contract experience required - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP - Experience with Epic EMR preferred Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611039.
