Job Description:
General Description:The Human Resources Specialist will support
the Human Resource Manager with complex and specialized tasks
related to Human Resources. Those tasks include by are not limited
to reviewing job applications, managing and overseeing records,
assisting with all payroll and benefit functions, and the company's
recruiting.Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience with
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources field and/or payroll or
equivalent combination of education and experience that provides
the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- This individual must have exceptional organizational skills,
ability to prioritize, and multi-task. Additionally, have excellent
verbal and written communication skills, and present the company in
a professional manner while having outstanding customer service
skills.
- An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook,
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel functions.
- Experience working with payroll and benefit platforms
- English required, bilingual preferredKey Job Responsibilities:
- Research and attend career days, job fairs and other potential
events
- Identify effectiveness and efficiencies around current
recruiting platforms and provide improvements based on performance
data, research and target audiences
- Assist with job postings and advertisement processes through
current recruiting methods
- Help with preparation, education and execution of Summit
Agricultural Group's summer internship program
- Review applications for all openings and conduct the interview
process
- Conducts and/or acquires background checks for employees
directly and indirectly working for the company
- Plans and conducts company wide informational meetings such as
benefit open enrollment, new hire orientation and other related
meetings
- Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state and local
employment law and regulations and recommend best practices;
reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance
- Participates in the safety committee and prepares safety
related SOP's and practices
- Assists with the preparation and completion of payroll on a
bi-weekly basis
- Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, personal time off,
insurance and 401k deductions and employees changes in pay
- Execute and provide supervisor assistance with HRIS platform as
it relates to reviews, time and attendance, paid time off,
etc.
- Assist with benefit reconciliation, review benefit elections
and provide timely communication to benefit carries of changes
within employee benefits
- Supports the international employees as it relates to
maintaining compliance to work in the US
- Supports the administration of FMLA, short/long term disability
and work comp claims
- Continue to build the company's culture through company events,
employee recognition and annual events
- Must have the ability to maintain a high level of
confidentiality
- Performs other duties as assignedJob Type: Full-time
