-Your Responsibilities -As a Staff Robotics Software Engineer of Automation & Autonomy Solutions, for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-Urbandale), you will be the technical lead for embedded software and corresponding data solutions to support robotic products that use perception sensing and cameras to utilize machine learning or image processing. - In addition, you will: -

  • Be the lead system engineer for Automation Core services for data, solution utilization, and feature solutions. This role involves solution and software design, requirements, project planning, monitoring, and developing other engineers that work on automation related projects for John Deere vehicles.
  • Set the strategy and lead the -deliverables for perception embedded data capture and feature toggle capabilities for the Automation & Autonomy team. -VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this positionWhat Skills You Need -
    • 1 or more years of experience developing Embedded Software (C++) delivering embedded solutions
    • 1 or more years of experience developing software for data-based software solutions (Ex: AWS based solutions)
    • Three or more years of experience working at various levels in the design, test, or coordination of software-based projects
    • Experience in roles that demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and customers
    • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% (both domestic or internationally)What Makes You Stand Out -
      • Experience related to precision farming, perception, robotics, image processing, deep learning, and machine learning (Medium)
      • Advanced degree(s) in technology related discipline (Medium)Education -Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: -
