Richelieu Foods, Inc. a leading national private label and contract packing food manufacturer is looking to add a QA Supervisor to the team!
Richelieu Foods focuses on frozen pizza, salad dressing, and BBQ sauce product categories. We have four manufacturing facilities located in OH, IL, IA, and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

Summary
This position assists with the manufacture of products that meet customer, company and food safety requirements. The Quality Supervisor also serves as SQF Practitioner; developing, maintaining and supervising execution of Policies and Procedures in accordance with SQF code.
Essential Functions
The Quality Supervisor will assist in leading the development and execution of all Quality programs and activities that ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including GMP, SQF and HACCP. The Quality Supervisor will integrate quality expectations into all functions and people.
Essential Duties:
--- Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality standards are achieved.
--- Plans and assigns work of subordinates.
--- Serves as Lead SQF Practitioner for Richelieu Foods, Inc.
--- Responsible for verification and validation activities as outlined in SQF code.
--- Develops and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
--- Analyzes facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
--- Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
--- Investigates and determines root cause of faulty work, consult and advises production Supervisors as to corrective measures.
--- Maintains discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates.
--- Investigates and adjusts personnel problems within area of responsibility. Effectively recommend hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations.
--- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Basic Qualifications
--- Certificated SQF Practitioner or equivalent
--- Minimum of 2-3 years of Food QA supervisory experience
--- Associate of Science / Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, food technology or business.
Desired Qualifications
--- USDA experience
--- Bi-Lingual Spanish
Competencies:
--- Detailed knowledge and track record of successful implementation of food manufacturing policies and procedures (GMP)
--- Certification and training in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
--- Excellent knowledge of HACCP and Pre-requisite programs
--- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies such as USDA/FDA.
--- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
--- Possesses excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
--- Laser focused on end-to-end execution applying relentless rigor to complete tasks
--- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment AND on the production floor. This position is regularly exposed to cold and damp work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role may also use some Laboratory equipment. This job would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
