for a highly motivated individual to join the Regulatory Science
Operations team as a Test Material Coordination - Team Lead. The
Team Lead will manage the Test Material Coordination (TMC) team and
will provide leadership to grow the team, develop tools and improve
processes. The TMC Team Lead will build strong partnerships with
High Performing Regulatory Teams (HPRTs), Product Chemistry and
Regulatory Chemistry to support test material planning, and to
coordinate and execute test material ordering, synthesis,
characterization, shipping requests for regulatory studies
supporting global registrations.Responsibilities:How will you help
us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!Lead the Test
Material Coordination team to coordinate and execute all activities
related to the ordering, synthesis, GLP characterization, and
shipment of test materials needed for Regulatory Science studies
(Reference standards, TGAI, stable labels, radio labels, standards,
analytical standards, formulations, formulation blanks,
metabolites, etc.)
- Navigate multiple internally developed tools, SharePoint sites,
and web-based interfaces to execute test material orders,
synthesis, GLP characterization, and shipment requests.
- Coordinate shipment requests with global contract research
organizations (CROs) and across Corteva locations. Approve test
material for release of shipment and ensure required documentation
is available.
- Serve as point of contact for test material inquiries, related
to availability of test material inventory, status of requested
test materials, status of GLP characterization, status of
shipment.
- Provide real-time, transparent updates to stakeholders and
customers of status of requests, and proactively notify
stakeholders and customers of potential delays.
- Ensure MSDS and CoA are available for all test materialsFocus
on Continuous improvement and Partnership
- Drive and develop partnerships with HPRT Regulatory Science
Team Leaders (RSTLs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Regulatory
Chemistry during test material planning for all Corteva Crop
Protection Active Ingredients.
- Establish the TMC team as key points of contact for test
material inventory questions.
- Identify gaps in processes and tools and develop refined
processes for increased efficiencyDevelop new Test Material
Coordination tool for test material forecasting, planning and
coordination.
- Serve as product owner for the development of a new test
material coordination tool, including identifying and communicating
key functionality to developers, assessing stakeholder needs and
user acceptance, testing and validating the tool, etc.
- Develop new processes, provide training documents and lead
training sessions.
- Understand how the current tools work and how they will
integrate with the newly developed tool.
- Optimize work processes and tools and identify opportunities
for continuous improvement for test material
coordinationQualificationsRequirements:What expertise have you
grown? What do you bring to the table?
- 4-year degree from post-secondary institution required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong chemistry
and/or biochemistry background and industry experience.
- Understanding of how to use current tools work is a highly
desired skillset.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, which includes ability
to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate across
multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent computer skills, which includes proficiency with
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn internally
developed software, tools, and web-based interfaces used for
chemical inventory, ordering, and shipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on several
projects simultaneously, efficiently, and
