We are seeking someone for a role that will design the overall functionality of exciting products and iterate on that design to ensure a stellar user experience. Apart from this, the User Experience (UX) Designer will originate and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translate their results into various sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Johnston, Iowa area. Submit an application today!Responsibilities- Working closely with a variety of business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes- Partnering with other members of the digital marketing team on the development of new initiatives- Providing support to other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)- Creating compelling experiences for users of a product, using results from user research and workflow analysis- Areas of focus may include content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience- Producing tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes- Overseeing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience Requirements - Be detailed, flexible, and organized- Excellent knowledge of design software applications and tools- Bachelor's degree- Expertise in analytics- Hands-on experience with Design Concepts- Methods experience highly preferred- Proficiency experience desired- Experience with protocols- Communication experience desired- Background working with construction- Component Selection experience highly valued- Methodology experience preferred- Prior experience with Adobe Illustrator- Deep understanding of research- Foundational knowledge in Enhancement- Earlier work involving graphic design- Practical knowledge of Stakeholders- Prototypes experience highly desired- Demonstrated knowledge of production- Proficiency in UX- Good understanding of Best Practices- Previous experience working with Process Improvement- General familiarity with Websites- Comprehension of Specification- Quality experience preferred- Experience with design- Expertise in Backend Development- Adeptness in Workstation Support - A portfolio demonstrating UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work - Knowledge of Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)- 3+ years of experience within the digital design/UX industry- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills - Experience in prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)- You will succeed in this position if you have strong interpersonal skills - Able to use graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite Innovation starts with people. - Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
