Return carts to kitchen at designated times.Load and oversee dishwashers and log and record wash/rinse temperatures.Wash specified items by hand such as pots, pans, and knives.Dispose of trash and garbage in appropriate manner.Put clean dishes and utensils awayMop floors as scheduled and as necessary.Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas.Maintain dry storage areas by logging temperatures daily and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies.Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and other nourishments.Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary ManagerMaintain good working relationship within the department and with other departments.Treat residents and guest with respect and dignity.Always observe infection prevention and control practices.Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.Perform other task and duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills of Dietary Aide:Minimum education: High school diploma, HSD equivalency, or currently enrolled.Prior experience in food service setting is a plus, but not required.Ability to work at a fast and responsive paceAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Along with physical skills, a dietary aide must be compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents, as well as the residents' family members.Ability to read, write and speak the English languageRequirements of Dietary Aide:Good communication skillsAbility to be professionalGood ethical practicesRelationship managementAlways maintaining confidentialityEEO Statement:Our Facility provides equal employment opportunities.
