purposes and remains subject to change. - Your Responsibilities As
a Embedded Software Engineer -for -Intelligent Solutions Group
-located in -Urbandale, IA, you will:
- Develop high quality software applications in C++ for the John
Deere Precision Agriculture displays.
- Software applications will focus on In-cab Precision
Agriculture Documentation (In-cab Mapping, Field Totals, etc.)
- Support the investigation and resolution of software issues
within the Precision Agriculture displays and Precision Agriculture
Documentation applications.
- Collaborate and participate in the improvement software
processes for -development and investigation to allow for efficient
and effective results. VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this
position What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of experience in software product
development.
- 2 or more years of experience in using the C++ programming
language in professional, academic, or open-source work.
- Ability and willingness to work in a diverse distributed team
environment, helping others on the team succeed.
- Excellent collaboration / communication skills. What Makes You
Stand Out
- Experience with Modern C++ (C++11 and beyond) coding and design
patterns
- Experience with automated testing framework development in
Python or equivalent programming language
- Experience in other programming or scripting languages (e.g.
Java, Bash, etc.)
- Experience developing Linux software -applications.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and software test
automation
- Experience developing applications using Qt / QML
- Experience developing supplication using OpenGL.
- Experience with CAN networking communication protocols
Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work
experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
