We're seeking a transformational leader to join the senior leadership team of our growing retirement business as the Head of our Stock Plan Services business. In this role, you will lead our Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) and Equity Compensation business lines. Principal is currently the #1 provider of ESOP solutions in the nation and has also entered the equity compensation market to strengthen its Total Retirement Solutions (TRS) suite of products. Strategy


  • Develop and implement the vision, strategy and business plan for Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) and Equity Compensation services
  • Build upon our stock plan service capabilities to the employer market supplying to Retirement and Investment Services (RIS) success and growth.
  • Use a One Principal mind set to partner with senior leaders/key customers prioritizing and aligning work and resources supporting the strategy and business plan.
  • Use data and supervise trends to find opportunities and risk - includes global, industry and general consumer and market trends.

    Leadership

    • Develop, communicate and implement vision, goals and objectives to build line of sight for staff.
    • Empower, encourage, and guide staff to enable them in being successful and grow their career.
    • Partner with senior leaders/key stakeholders in strategic workforce planning for business areas.

      Who You Are

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
      • 15 years related work experience with retirement products (Both Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) and Equity Compensation are a plus)
      • 8+ years' experience in a management/leadership capacity
      • Previous experience managing Profit and Loss (P&L) is necessary
      • Proven experience leading major initiatives
      • Top level executive presence is a must
      • Experience utilizing data lead analytics to drive results
      • Strategic thinker with strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and develop others - -
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to build trusting relationships with a variety of parties
      • Ability to work in ambiguous situations with exceptional adaptability
      • Strong well-rounded, working knowledge of financial services
      • Travel required, including overnight stays

        Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
        Salary Range$193000 - $279000 / year

        Work Environment
        This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
