Job Description:

Position: Machine Operator / Fabricator Pay: $18.00/hr + $500 sign on bonus Location: Lenox, IA Hours: 6 a.m. to 430 p.m. Machine Operator operates various fabrication machines and fabricates material to specification, from job orders and document production data. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up, adjust, program, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment
• Fabricate materials to specification, from job order and document production data at a level of output that minimizes productions delays
• Utilize quality checks to ensure all systems are set for correct operational sequencing and to meet product standards
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards
• Understanding of how to use measuring instruments (calipers, protractor, tape measure, steel ruler), read blueprints and operate hand grinder and other hand tools Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math skills plus factions and decimals
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of manufacturing plant
  • Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system

    • Develops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change
    • Work to Continuously Improve the operations of the Department through Lean activities and Improvement suggestions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Prefer at least 6 months of experience working with MIG welding
      • Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints
      • Positions requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measure. Working Conditions:
        • Work in a production environment with the risk of injury
        • Safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop
        • Physical demands occasionally required to site; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
