SUMMARYPerform one or more repetitive jobs on a production table to produce or assemble trusses.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Reads the work order and/or follows Assembly leader's instructions Places webs in the proper location Retrieves and moves connector plates to designated area Assists in jig set up, positions precut lumber in jig by hand Places metal plates over connecting joints and connects joints using hammer, pneumatic staple gun, or gantry press (pneumatic staple gun is used during 14% of a scheduled work day).Staples and/or plates on required tags Cleans and maintains work area Works at other work stations as production needs requireSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
