Manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves, this hands-on
leadership role leads the daily activities of CNC and manual
machine operators. You will work in a dynamic, high-tech production
facility based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location!AS A PRODUCTION
SUPERVISOR YOU WILL:Maintain a strong safety culture and a safe
work environment. Responsible for completing safety audits, daily
safety start-ups, inspections, and generating ideas to improve
safety.Plan and direct daily work activities to dynamically lead
logistic resources to obtain daily goals.Develop and implement
process improvements to reduce non-conformances, improve cost, and
reduce manufacturing process time.Complete individual and
operation-based quality audits to verify compliance to quality
standards.Develop cross training plans to improve shipping/logistic
performance and increase flexibility.Improve employee performance
through formal and informal performance reviews, job training, and
the sharing of ideas to improving department
performance.Participate in the development of capital plans and
support the implementation of new technology to improve
manufacturing processes and reduce non-conformances.Support the
development and implementation of industry best practices in areas
such as 5S+1, TPM, Kaizen events, and implement cost reductions to
improve performance.Maintain department records, such as, hours
worked, overtime hours, cross-training, productivity, quality, etc.
Consistently administer the labor agreement and lead efforts to
improve performance.WHO YOU ARE:You balance planning with actions.
You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small
and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You
define issues and can map out a process. You drill down to root
causes to gather relevant information.REQUIRED EDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:High School Diploma with 2 years in a
leadership role or Bachelor degree with 2-year supervisory
experience2 - 3 years Manufacturing experienceLegal authorization
to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for
this positionPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:A
technology-based Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree with 5
years' experience in a leadership role, in a fast-paced
manufacturing environmentStrong Logistic experience, including both
Shipping and ReceivingAbility to teach crating skills and
consistent track record to drive process improvementStrong
leadership skills; including being disciplined, assertive, and
having a high energy level to meet safety and department
performance goalsExcellent oral and written communication
skillsSolid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word,
Excel, Access and PowerPoint) as well as MS Outlook#LI-JS3WHY
