Essential Functions:

• Drives the established strategic planning, including the annual planning processes, plans, priorities, capabilities, measures of success, etc. across the organization, including goal development, initiative identification, and establishment of outcome targets -
• Partners with strategic planning team across the organization and program managers to develop and execute a holistic strategic planning process. Follows up with contacts as appropriate both before and after quarterly reviews to resolve questions and concerns
• Works across diverse stakeholder groups to develop and execute strategic initiatives, including identifying and defining work to support the annual plan, as well as ensuring alignment with the multi-year plan. Collaborates with the Project Management (PM) team to transition to work to the execution phase
• Develops and maintains the strategic roadmap and assigned strategic dashboards and/tracking mechanisms. Makes recommendations for adjustments to roadmap as appropriate
• Manages the timing of inputs/outputs that drive strategic project prioritization
• In collaboration with people leader, participates in the annual planning process and multiyear strategic plan by leading assigned meetings regarding business plans and gathering key data components
• Supports the annual planning process by consistently reviewing the plan and any adjustments made. Identifies components needing additional attention
• Leads complex planning projects for defining strategic initiatives, including leading business planning workshops ensuring expectations are clearly established, alternatives are considered, and goals and action steps are clearly articulated in the planning process
• Provides advice and consultation on strategic business initiatives, including evaluating and uncovering strategic insights related to business performance through analysis and cross-functional business considerations
• Performs research and analysis on a wide range of topics and business functions to deliver projects emerging from business issues
• Establishes clear methodology to distribute, integrate, and analyze data related to enterprise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other tools to provide recommendations for business strategies, decisions, and executionEducation & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management, finance, or marketing or equivalent relevant experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Eight years of experience in strategic planning, business strategy analysis, or related experience
  • Insurance/financial services experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of key business and financial drivers, including key economic and industry trends
    • Exceptional business judgement leveraging strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
    • Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills to plan strategy, tactics and perform root cause analysis
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, vLookup, Index/Match, Power Query, etc.) -
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong meeting facilitation skills and ability to build team consensus utilizing facilitation best practices
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening and interpretation skills
    • Strong organizational/prioritization skills
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business priorities
