          • 50% off at Brown Elephant Resale Shops and discounts at local businesses What you can expect:The Lead Patient Services Representative (PSR) is primarily responsible for assisting clients with billing and insurance matters. The Lead PSR assists Howard Brown Health patients with questions concerning their statements, provides options for payments and is a resource for other Howard Brown Health employees regarding patients' accounts. This person will also monitor payment plans and proactively engage patients in their financial responsibility to their Health Care Home at Howard Brown Health. The Lead PSR will work with patients/clients on assisting them in identifying and applying for programs they may be eligible for.How you will make an impact:
            • Lead a team of PSRs who assist in enrolling patients in the Marketplace and Medicaid.
            • Educate patients regarding their benefits and potential financial responsibilities.
            • Work with uninsured clients to establish a sliding scale agreement and monitor this process for Howard Brown.
            • Assist with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and answering phone calls as needed.
            • Assess clients appropriately for the correct sliding scale based on federal guidelines. Follow guidelines and laws pertaining to patient caps on charges.
              • Collect and enter patient payments.
              • On a daily basis, reconcile encounter forms and cash drawer collections.
              • Work with Finance department to implement any changes as needed to improve above operations.
              • Seek maximum reimbursement on behalf of Howard Brown Health by verifying benefits and eligibility for medical and mental health services in a timely manner.
              • With the input and assistance of the Patient Services Manager, manage PSR schedules, including ADP and time off requests
              • Act as the conduit for PSR needs and questions and represent the team for Howard Brown Health QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
                • Confidentiality is a must
                • High school degree or GED required.
                • Proficient use of computer applications such as GE Centricity, Excel and Word.
                • Two to three years experience in patient services/financial counseling setting.
                • Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances.
                • Must possess strong communication and demonstrate an ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
                • Bilingual - Spanish/English highly regarded.
