external financial advisors and Athene employees with specific
advanced planning support to help them with retirement planning
concepts and assist them in finding suitable solutions for clients.
Understand investment strategies and estate or business planning
concepts to design cases around retirement and annuity solutions.
The position translates new concepts and content for annuity
opportunities in retirement income planning and practice management
promotions. The Advanced Markets Specialist will provide guidance
in developing novel, creative, and industry leading topics for
field programs and promotion by Advanced Markets to enhance company
and department industry reputation through cross selling
opportunities.The most visible part of the position is delivering
the highest level of professional presentations to producers or
clients of producers. Presenting Advanced Markets topics (and other
value-added programs i.e., CE content) to financial professionals
at a variety of venues and through various virtual platforms is an
ongoing responsibility.Outstanding communication and presentation
skills with an ability to connect technical advanced tax and legal
concepts to the practical sales process so that the producer
understands how the information is applicable in a sales situation
is essential.Accountabilities:
- Develop new business and sales growth opportunities by
initiating and maintaining strong relationships with producers
- Train, develop and educate sales team to build knowledge of
advanced market concepts within the industry
- Respond to case design questions for internal and external
sales teams (ownership and beneficiary, large case
requirements
- Partner with Athene product, legal, compliance and business
operations teams in the design and implementation of advanced
markets concepts and solutions that help our customers
- Answer taxation and in-force questions for internal and
external sales teams (re-classifications, withdrawals, divorce,
probate, etc.)
- Collaborate with marketing to execute Athene initiatives with
cross channel distributor relationships Bank, Broker Dealer and
Independent Marketing Organization relationships (Roth conversions,
split ticket cases)
- Analysis of case-specific income options within Athene
products
- Support wholesalers with drafting case design detail or
discussing case design with advisors
- Assist in coaching wholesalers on Athene or state specific
product or taxation changes and opportunities
- Provide value add content for wholesaler presentations
detailing timely topics and sales opportunities
- Assist with product discussions and delivery of customer
solution concepts over the phone, video chat and in
personQualifications and Experience:Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial products including Fixed Indexed
Annuities, Registering Index Linked Annuities, Variable Annuities
and Fixed Annuities
- Experience working with retirement accounts specifically
related to rollovers (ex. IRA, ROTH IRA, SEP IRA) preferred
- Experience working with retirement planning with Trust concepts
and Trust related strategies preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service to both
internal and external customers
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team
environment
- Proactive self-starter that seeks out knowledge of new topics
and areas to research in order to support sales teamsMinimum
requirements:
- 7 years of experience required: Experience in financial
services industry in advanced markets, tax, or law, with
outstanding public speaking skills, exceptional writing skills as
well as strong technical skills including but not limited to
Microsoft office and various online seminar platforms.
- Advanced degree: CFP, ChFC, CPA, MBAPreferred requirements:
- 10+ years of experience preferred: - Extensive experience in
Advanced Markets area creating and presenting marketing
programs.
- Advanced degree: JD; Series 6 or 7, 63 and State life insurance
licensedTravel
- 25% -minimum: national and regional conferences; wholesaler
