Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current operating room experience required Strong proficient experience in Cardiac, vascular, thoracic surgery required General surgery experience required Scrub experience, including open heart scrubbing, highly preferred Trauma Level I experience highly preferred Experience in da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, and ENT highly preferred EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last 3 years required Must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 12 months License: Active Iowa or compact/Multistate nursing license required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: Skills checklist specific to operating room nursing required Work history/resume must demonstrate 24 months of current operating room experience required Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO within the last 24 months preferred Valid driver's license required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. Candidates must possess the ability to scrub and circulate in operating room procedures. There is an expectation to handle an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day, with turnover times of less than 20 minutes. The unit is equipped with advanced robotic technology and primarily utilizes specific instrumentation for various specialties. As a Level 1 trauma center, we manage a diverse range of surgical procedures across multiple service lines. Nurses may be required to float across different campuses. Candidates must commit to a call schedule involving overnight shifts and weekends.
